SKPS REGISTRATION FAQ'S
2012 - 2013
PLEASE DIRECT QUESTIONS TO REGISTRATION@SAINTKILIAN.ORG

How is Preschool morning and afternoon placement determined and what can I do to ensure I get my preference?
You will indicate your preference on Clover Corner when you pay your registration fee. If this class is full, we will enroll you in the other section and waitlist you for your preferred section. If we run out of spots, we will waitlist you and refund your money in full. If we put you in the morning class (for example) and you only can do afternoon and choose to forfeit your confirmed spot, we will refund your money in full.
Morning/Afternoon slots will be assigned primarily by your Clover Corner time stamp. Clover Corner issues the time stamp once your payment has been made. The sooner you pay your registration fee, the best chance you have at securing your preference.
You will be notified by March 15, 2012 with your morning or afternoon assignment. Please do not contact the office before March 15, 2012 to find out if you received your class choice. We will not be able to give anyone this information until March 15, 2012..
Please note that payments may not be made prior to the start of your official Phase. The links on Clover Corner will be different by Phase (ie: "Registration Fee - Phase I", "Registration Fee - Phase II", etc.). If you use the wrong link or pay earlier than your Phase permits, your money will be refunded and you will have to resubmit all information and payment(s) once your official Phase begins.
What happens once a class is filled? What is the wait list process?
Once a class is filled, it will be indicated on the main registration page on our website as in previous years. Links will be available for wait listing your child after Phase 2. We do not require registration fees to be paid once we are on a wait list If you paid a registration fee and your child is wait listed, we will immediately refund your payment online. Please note that wait lists will be closed once we reach 20 children on the wait list
As soon as a spot opens, we will notify you via phone or email. Please do not contact the office to find out your wait list position until after the close of Phase 5 Registration.
Why are we doing registration online this year?
With almost 600 children to enroll each year, the paperwork can be overwhelming and time consuming to monitor, validate and file. Through the use of our Headmaster school database, Clover Corner, and some new tools from Adobe Acrobat, we will be able to safely and more efficiently monitor, track and trace registration materials and cut the registration time frame down by 50%. We appreciate your cooperation in this process and your patience as this is new for all of us. Our hope is that by allowing you to complete all or the majority of the enrollment process from the comforts of your home or office, this will be significantly easier on you as well.
I do not have internet access, what are my options?
Please contact Debbie Jankowski in the school office.
What is Adobe Acrobat?
Adobe Acrobat is the software that allows you to open a PDF file on your computer. It is a standard most are familiar with and a secure one at that. We will be collecting all online forms with this program this year. You will need to have Adobe Acrobat (PDF) free reader, Version 8 or later to digitally sign and complete your forms. You may download the free reader by clicking here. Once you download the update, be sure to install it!

What is a digital signature and why do I need one?
Please note that we will be requiring your digital signature on enrollment forms. You will not be able to submit your forms without one.
Digital signatures are free and can be easily set up in the Adobe Acrobat reader. Once you receive forms from us to complete online, Acrobat will walk you through the initial setup process to create your digital signature if you do not already have one. Once this has been completed, you are able to use your digital signature just as you would your handwritten one. You will not be able to submit your forms without your digital signature. Please click here for further information on digital signatures.
I do not want to pay my registration fees online, what are my options?
We will not be accepting checks or cash this year for registration fee payment. We are requiring fees to be paid online at Clover Corner for tracking and time stamp purposes. Your successful payment on Clover Corner assigns your child a time stamp which we will use to determine your place in line for placement. This is especially important for preschool parents with a preference of morning vs. afternoon placement and Phase 3-Phase 5 enrollees.
What happens if I enroll my child, pay my registration fee and then we change our mind (or move)? Will my registration fee be refunded?
No. Registration fees are 100% non-refundable, for any reason. Should you enroll your child and pay your fee, we are holding a spot for you and turning other potential students away. Should you find out you are moving or change your mind for any reason, we cannot return your registration fee.
However, all registration fee payments will be applied to that child's 2012 - 2013 tuition.
How soon can I register my child?
You may begin your registration at 9am on the first day of your applicable phase. Online links and information will not be posted or available until exactly 9am SKPS time on the first day of your phase (no need to stay up until midnight)!
When are school physicals and dental exams due and does my child need one?
Dental exams are required for Kindergarten, 3rd and 7th Grade Students. School physicals are required for Kindergarten and 6th Grade Students. Physical forms are due prior to the start of the new school year and are NOT required at this time for enrollment purposes. The school will issue an email regarding physicals and dental exams later this school year.
How old does my child have to be to enter school and by what date?
Students entering the SKPS Preschool program must be 3 or 4 years of age, respectively, by September 1st. A student entering kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1. Official certificates of birth and baptism (baptism if applicable) are required at the time of registration. Those registering for grades 1-8 must fulfill the age requirement for the desired grade and and provide a record release from their previous school. Grade level and academic group determinations are made on the basis of school records.
I am paying monthly for tuition via direct debit already, why do you need a new form for next year with my bank information?
We are required by law to have a new, completed form from you annually, we cannot use information we currently have on file. If you choose to pay your tuition monthly instead of annually, please complete the Direct Debit Form and return to the school office with a voided check or deposit slip attached - we must have this attached this year due to ensure accuracy. One form per family.
What if my priest cannot complete the Pastor Verification form before my Phase is over?
No worries. We do not expect a two day turnaround on this particular form. The Pastor Verification Form is required annually by the Diocese for all non-SKP Parishioners. Please print the form, have your pastor complete it and return to the school office as soon as possible. We must have this by the end of the current school year.
