Before School Information
Saint Kilian Parish School is offering a before school program for students in grades K – 6 between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 am. The program is designed to help parents who need to drop off their children before the school 8:00 drop off time and is available for families requiring either regularly scheduled or occasional care.
To schedule, please contact the school office at least 2 days prior of needing the morning care to be sure the program is properly staffed.
The students enter the building from the back of the school and use the card scanner to record their arrival time. Mrs. Gentile will meet the children to help them scan in and begin their morning. The kindergarten classroom will be used for the program.
The students may bring their own packed breakfast which must be from the Approved "Nut-Checked" Snack List. Any student who arrives after 7:45 will not have time to eat breakfast.
The before school program will include activities of quiet free play, such as board games, building blocks, reading books. At 7:45 the students in attendance will clean up from their morning activities, use the restroom, and line up to go the cafeteria to wait for their teachers.
The before school program will not be available on non-school days or on days of inclement weather delay mornings. Students should arrive to school when school opens on inclement weather school days.
After School Care
Extended care is available for Saint Kilian students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade from 2:45pm - 6:00pm daily.
This after school program includes time for a snack (from the Approved "Nut-Checked" Snack List), completing homework, rest/quiet time, and ample opportunity for free play.
The program is available for families requiring either regularly scheduled or occasional care. To schedule, please contact the school office preferably the day prior, but at least the morning of, the day you wish them to stay.
Snacks
Snacks are to be provided by parents and must be from the Approved "Nut-Checked" Snack List.
Enrollment
If you would like to enroll your child in the extended care program, please contact the school office preferably the day prior, but at least the morning of, the day you wish them to stay.
Fees and Payment
For every hour your child is in the extended day program, the cost is $5. The cost is $5.00/hour per student. Past 6:00 pm, the fee is $1 per minute. Students will use their school badge to check in and out of Extended Care and an invoice will be sent to parents monthly via backpack. You can make checks out to Saint Kilian Parish School. Please give all checks to the school office.
